I use the word artist loosely since I do not really think I have an artistic bone in my body. But I do like to be creative in an unartistic sort of way.
I made this card for my grandparents to say thanks for their Christmas present to me this year. They always appreciate letters and cards and my grandmother can't see very well so I usually try to make cards for them bold shapes and colors so she can at least get a glimpse.
I hope everyone's having a great day! I made these place cards for our yummy Christmas dinner this year. The pictures above are the fronts and below are the backs (each of us identified by nicknames and funny little blurbs about us).
Instead of mistletoe I hang this "kissing" ball from Crate and Barrel (got it a few years ago) up in my apartment - isn't it cute?
Anyway, hope everyone enjoys your Christmas Eve and finds this an encouraging and amazing time to remember the incredible thing that Jesus coming to earth was and how much it means to all of His people!
As I've said before I like simple. I found these inexpensive snow globes at Target and decide to use them for my centerpiece this year. I love the red candy pictures I found to put in them. If you can't tell the one in the middle is a close up of a red & white lollipop, yum.
This is what I did with my built in book case this year. All of my other decorations (tree and presents included) are red, white and silver, no green. But I have these pretty green dishes in there year round and I like the way the look with my decorations :)
This year I wanted to do something a little different than I've done in the past. So I compiled some of Aesop's fables and gave them new morals like if my family member's read the fable that's what they would take away from it (in a humorous light). I got it printed very inexpensively at thebookpatch.com. These pictures above are the cover and one of the pages.
